Nicolson Accountancy are a leading firm of accountants, head-quartered in the prestigious Park Circus area of Glasgow.
There is plenty of on street parking immediately outside our office. You will be able to park within 1 minute’s walk of our office with ease at almost every hour of the day.
Surrounded by magnificent Victorian town houses, it is here that we house the multiple trophies that our colleagues and peers in the Institutes of Chartered Accountants have repeatedly awarded to us, as The Accountancy Firm of the Year.
The office is open 9-5 Monday to Friday and manned with a dozen highly experienced staff members who are able to give all the help and help that you will need. Both Sue and Angus are based primarily in the Glasgow office to offer clients direct access to a director, and to bring their specialist skills to help clients develop their businesses.
Our office is in the Trinity Building, Lynedoch Street, and you are welcome to call in for a cup of coffee and a chat at any time.
Trinity House is often described as ‘an example of the finest piece of architecture of the mid 19th century’. Designed by the renowned architect Charles Wilson who also planned the layout of the neighbouring terraces in the area, the building was originally opened in 1857 as the United Free Church College. Today this impressive ‘A’ listed building provides a combination of both office and residential accommodation and its 3 towers continue to dominate the Glasgow skyline.
The office has been carefully restored with due care and attention to detail. It boasts many of the elaborate period features associated with this type of building, including the largest sash window in the UK, intricate coving and several fine examples of Corinthian style columns.

In November 2015, Nicolson Accountancy joined with Count Accountancy to be able to prove a better accountancy and tax service to all our clients in Kilmarnock and Ayrshire.
Then in November 2016 we expanded and bought our new office in the centre of Kilmarnock at 71 King Street, KA1 1PT (opposite Boots in the precinct). The phone number remains unchanged.
Nicolson Accountancy aim to help clients grow by providing simple but effective business advice to growing businesses, and the full range of services that all our clients expect from a full service accountancy practice.
We also help taxpayers sent their tax returns – no matter how complex or simple – for a fixed fee in a fixed timescale and with the highest possible quality of tax advice to every client.
There is plenty of parking around our office in the car parks at Marks and Spencer and at Boots/Wilko and around the corner at the St Marnock car park, beside the Sheriff Court. There is all day parking in the car park beside the bus station and it is only £1 for the entire day on the top two floors.
We are also near Kilmarnock train station, and it is a short walk down the pedestrianised King Street to our offices.
We will build on the high level of service proved by the teams in Glasgow, Stornoway and in Count Accounting to give an entirely personal service to all our clients.

The business of Nicolson Accountancy started in Stornoway in 2004 in a tiny office where Sue and Angus Nicolson quickly established a thriving business, and it was only two years before we were buying and moving to a very much larger two-storey office on the Bayhead Street in Stornoway.
Within another two years the business was booming at a very rapid rate and the IT infrastructure was upgraded for the third time with a view to planning to be able to manage a client base that was forecast to double again in the next few years.
As it turned out, growth forecasts were more rapid than expected and the broadband in the islands was simply unable to manage the huge data volumes that the business was generating; and the reliability of the power and data connection spurred the firm on to Glasgow. And the rest is history.
Today the Stornoway office is a very busy base for clients local and further afield, and with a common VoIP phone connection and phone number across the two offices, clients can be assured of a top quality service whichever office they reach.
Our Stornoway office is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and to 4pm on Friday.
You can bring in your tax records and your accounts, and be assured of a warm welcome and an informed response to any questions you may have.
We also help our clients to make payments of tax bills online in our offices, or to get access to their online Secure Document Server where they can look at their tax returns and tax computations and approve them online too.
In short, you have an active drop-in point for all your tax questions.
Both Angus and Sue are in Stornoway regularly, as is Liam McCreath our Tax Manager, where you can meet with them to discuss your tax affairs face to face or we can arrange a Skype call if matters are urgent.
