Nicolson Accountancy have won many awards and been nominated by our clients for many more. All of which leads our clients to consider us to be the Best Scottish Accountants for small businesses and to individual tax payers. The highest level of customer service is our simple aim.
We are overwhelmed by our successes and are excited and delighted by every one.
The firm couldn’t make this happen without all or staff who work extremely hard behind the scenes. We aim to make the process as smooth as possible for our clients. Everyone strives to deliver the highest quality service to each person who entrusted us with their tax and accounting services.
We are astonished and excited after being nominated for the British Accountancy Awards.
The decision is being announced at the ceremony in November 2016, and whatever the outcome may be we are pleased for all our staff.
In 2016 we were once again nominated for the Scottish Accountancy Awards sponsored by Business Insider magazine. We were nominated for and announced as winners in the category of Accountancy Firm of the Year. This is a great tribute to all the staff across all three offices who have worked very hard helping us deliver an exemplary service to all our clients.
In an unexpected move, Sue was nominated as the Accountant of the Year, and we were all highly delighted when she won the award. In front of 300 of her peers in the Scottish accountancy profession Sue was lauded for her experience, her professionalism and her sheer ability in servicing client needs.
We are all hugely proud of Sue and her achievements.
Corporate LiveWire e-magazine have selected Nicolson Accountancy as the LiveWire winners as the winning Tax Advisors, Glasgow, for 2015.
Once again we are proud of the hard work and dedication of our team to deliver all the awards. It is a sign of our innovative approach to tax provision for small businesses that we have once again triumphed.
In 2014 we were also selected as the Most Respected Accountancy Firm in Scotland by Acquisition International magazine.
As a small boutique firm of accountants and tax advisors we know that we ‘punch above our weight’. That’s both in terms of the services we deliver and the way we deal with clients. We know that we make waves by challenging the status quo and by taking an individual approach to every client.
Being considered as “Most Respected” really is a major achievement, and an achievement we are immensely proud of.
Together with our hard-working team, we face the daily challenges of tax and accounting problems. On behalf of our clients we try to solve them all with equal amounts of vigour and determination.
Earlier in 2014 we were chosen as Leading Accountancy Firm of the Year – Scotland by Acquisition International magazine against competition from the Big 4 as well as many small boutique tax advisors. We are stunned to have been successful. All the more so for the illustrious company in which we find ourselves.
Previous winners in the UK include the Big 4 firms. And legal firms who are members of the Magic Circle. That is members of the 10 biggest practices between the UK and the USA. Our success reflects on the hard work of everyone in both the offices.
Our Norwegian tax practice was also nominated as the top Tax Advisors in the UK. We were elated just to have been in the running for such a huge award.
In 2012 we were the winners of the Scottish Accountancy Awards as Best Small Practice, which was a remarkable achievement in its own right. It was an amazing night in the Hilton Glasgow, and it was followed the next day by a long pre-planned photo shoot with the Bank of Scotland for their advertising campaign. We weren’t exactly on top form that day!
This was the year that we knew we had to expand the practice, and it was also the year we established our Glasgow office in a beautiful listed building just off the historic Park Circus in the trendy West End.The same year we were runners-up in the British Accountancy Awards – Best Scottish Firm, against some very, very strong opposition. A fantastic night in the Old Billingsgate Market was had by all.
The worthy winners were another established Scottish firm who were had fought tooth and nail (but nicely!) for the Scottish Awards.
In 2011 we also achieved runner-up status in the British Accountancy Awards in the same group of Best Scottish Firm, and we were unable to attend due to family commitments, but we were delighted just to have been nominated through to the last stages.
