International Tax Accountant - current vacancy

We are looking for an individual with the necessary financial skills to join our growing team, focussing on foreign payroll and foreign tax reporting, foreign bookkeeping and foreign tax returns. All team members are asked to be flexible during busy periods and may be asked to work on other areas not directly associated with their own area of responsibility.

This position is permanent and full-time and based in the Glasgow office.

Prerequisites for this post include:

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy
  • An excellent knowledge of excel spreadsheets
  • Thorough understanding of debits and credits and excellent bookkeeping skills
  • A thorough understanding of Balance Sheet / Profit and Loss
  • Ability and confidence to deal with remote clients via telephone and e-mail, relaying complex information
  • Ability and confidence to deal with UK and foreign tax offices via telephone and e-mail
  • Self starter, able to work as part of a team but also without supervision

Advantageous additional abilities would include:

  • Knowledge of Norwegian or Dutch either spoken or written
  • Computerised accounting software experience
  • Experience in the operation of foreign currency transactions, including multiple currency computation e.g. Kr to via
  • Formal Accountancy qualification or extensive practice experience

Full training will be given, and applicants will be expected to know their limits, initially, but be prepared to develop their skills quickly.

Salary dependent upon experience.

This is a highly responsible position, and applicants will be expected to take full ownership of their portfolio of clients.

Accounting trainee - current vacancy

This new vacancy will support the principals in growing the business in Glasgow.

You will bring a good mix of professional accounting skills, and the ability to manage your own work flow.

You will be expected to take immediate control of a portfolio of clients for whom you will be the first point of contact and take responsibility for prompt and accurate reporting to the client. This will include taking full responsibility for ensuring that clients have exactly the right amount of cash put aside to settle all their liabilities.

A challenging but responsible role, that will suit an ambitious pq or pqe.
