Latest news Dec 10: A large number of revised tax codes have been issued by the Inland Revenue. These might significantly affect your tax liability for this month. The vast majority of these changes are as a result of your benefits in kind (P11d) being included in your tax code to deduct the correct amount of thax each year.

Only the taxpayer has the detail of how the new code is calculated.

If you think the tax code is incorrect, then please phone the Inland Revenue on 0845 3000 627 to get it quickly checked and rectified.

If you think the benefits on the P11d are incorrect, please contact Anderson, Anderson & Brown who prepare these returns; or your own accountant.

Failing which, contact us and we will be happy to act as your tax agents.

Nicolson Accountancy are proud to provide the full payroll service to the Senergy Group of companies.

We can provide you, as an employee, with advice and support about the computation of your pay and about your general tax position but we cannot advise you about your terms and conditions or the detail of hours worked or other payroll elements. Queries about these matters should be directed to the HR Department of Senergy.

We can send you payslips and other documents electronically. If you wish to use this service, then please let us know. Requests to send payslips to email addresses outside senergyworld will need to be verified by HR.

We have prepared a series of frequently asked questions to try to answer the regular questions we are asked. If these answers are not there, then please email us using the following links, depending on your employer. Please note that we may need to verify your identity before providing personal details.

Tax codes are changing in April and there are a number of very important changes, especially if you earn over £100,000. Please contact us with details of your tax code if you have any queries about what is happening.

More detail about how tax codes are changing and how they might impact on you is available here.

If your tax codes includes an adjustment for BUPA payments, this is because it is a taxable benefit that has only now been recognised and taxed by the Inland Revenue. The detail is included on form P11d that the HR department should have provided to you, and you should have included this on your Income Tax Return. Any questions about the benefit in kind should be addressed to the HR department.
